Good morning, today is Wednesday October 5th, the 278th day of 2005.
Yesterday the MMS reported minor increases in Gulf of Mexico production output; the Office of Energy Reliabilty reported that more oil has now been shut out than what was shut out by last hurricane Ivan last year, which as you’ll recall had a very lengthy impact on output from the region. After yesterday’s Crude sell off ( and Natural Gas bounce back), today’s EIA reports are likely to be hold more significance than usual.
Comments from more than one Federal Reserve governor or regional president of late have continued to reinforce the determination of the Fed to raise interest rates until their policy of accomodation is more neutral, Fed speak for rates are headed higher. Stocks yesterday responded accordingly.
